Now Logan is 4, he's really funny, full of energy, sweet, sympathetic, loveable, smart, creative and just beautiful. He loves EVERYTHING, the smallest things just light him up with happiness. He loves his parents " a million and nineteen" and he loves his brother and his grandparents, his cousins and his aunt's and uncle's. And the past year has been pretty great, it's been almost 11 months since he was admitted to the hospital. He was taken off all medications during the summer by his new GI. That was a really scary but exciting change, when we got home from that appointment we gave him the bottle and let him throw it away!
This month we also got a little bit of a reality check because Logan got sick the week before Christmas with what we thought was a virus but ended up being the flu and an ear infection. Of course that was great news since he would not have to be in the hospital but also a reminder that he COULD have been. It COULD have been worse, it COULD have been his liver. I try, really hard, to remember that everyday. I try to focus on the positive and remember that we've been blessed. His is doing so well for a BA child, he's thriving. But that doesn't mean we get to drop our guard. Because things change so quickly for these kids. I know I've said this before, but we really do live one day at a time, every healthy day is a good day. I'll keep trying to make sure I don't take these days for granted and I pray he keeps being the fun loving, as healthy as he can be, little boy he is.
Hopefully 2018 is filled with nothing but great things for everyone!
